    What is the Kodály Certificate program?

    For students interested in pursuing certification in the Kodály philosophy, Capital's Kodály Institute also offers a non-degree certification program endorsed by OAKE.
    Students will receive a Kodály Certificate after they have completed:
          

    • Three levels of music courses
    • Two teaching videos
    • Folk song research, music collection, and retrieval project  
    Students completing their certification requirements will receive their certificate at the closing concert of their last semester.

    Certification Program Tuition and Fees

    • Registration fee: $25 (for first-time registration only)
    • 2018 Certification fee: $218 per semester hour
    • 2018 Lodging (optional) $250 per week (does not include linens), double occupancy with air conditioning.
